Thermo foil heaters made of polyimide are available in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and wattages. Polyimide Film has excellent outgasing properties in high-vacuum environments and a high degree of chemical resistance.
Polyimide film in the color amber is used as the thin film heating element. It has a high dielectric strength and is a thin, translucent material. The manufacturing procedure for polyimide heaters is comparable to that used for Etched Foil Silicone heaters. It operates in temperatures ranging from -185 degrees Celsius to 200 degrees Celsius and is a flexible heating element with excellent dielectric properties.
